No it's not an elaborate scheme to erect regulatory barriers to entry, nor a marketing ploy.

These autistic virgin indian/asian/jewish tech geeks in San Francisco are genuinely just jerking themselves off to the thought that the AI they're creating is like Ultron or Skynet:lul::lul::lul::lul::lul:

Like jesus christ your shitty LLMs fuck up basic instructions that my intern could do while half-asleep is NOT doing anything remotely dangerous or even economically relevant. The most that they will do within the next decade is automaking bullshit that could've been a Python program anyways, or taking first cut at white collar work that still needs VERY extensive reviews and refinement. Basically the only people at risk of AI automation are secretaries, offshore Indian slave labour teams (we outsource to them to dig obscure filings from SEDAR / EDGAR).

Not really. It breaks the rules of the game you originally set it out.

The concern is you ask it something innocent like 'how to get rid of curry smell' and it ends up reasoning that the best way to solve this question is hack into government and launch nukes on India or biologically engineer a virus to wipe them out.

On second thought maybe that's not a bad idea...

Its larp because development is hitting a halt and they need to cope to boomer investors "muh robot arnold schwarzenigger will rape us" and create regulatory excuses to gaslight normies into buying into that larp
