1. The Bobcat
IMG 6931

These are the coolest and prettiest creatures. Natural born hunters with a ferocity three times their size. Some are known to even take down deer despite being a little larger than a housecat. I have a fond memory of tracking one in the snow awhile back

2. The Red Fox
IMG 6932

Not specific to the Americas as yhey are found on nearly every continent, but an iconic and well-loved species.Naturally omnivorous, they can often be a treasured site in suburban/rural areas looking for food. Beautiful and playful creatures.

3. The White Tailed Deer
IMG 6933

One of the more common deer in the country, found nearly everywhere, but nonetheless still majestic. Varying in size from the smaller deer in the south to the ones nearly the size of elk in the north, they are a sign of a healthy ecosystem. White tailed deer are generally most adapted to coastal areas with lots of brush, as they tend to escape predation by doing short bursts to find cover, but have been able to find niches all over the country. Upon seeing one of them, it is nearly impossible to not look on them with awe and marvel.

4. The Gray Wolf
IMG 6934

A rare sight in most of the Us. Gray wolves have incredibly complex social systems, with packs similar to humans composed of their close family. They are intelligent, fierce, and accomplished hunters, sometimes having a range of a few hundred miles they travel in search of food. There is a certain fondness most humans will have for these creatures our beloved companions evolved from.

5. The Grizzly Bear
IMG 6935

Probably the scariest land mammal in America. Intelligent, violent, and insatiable. Yet despite being so powerful, meat generally only constitutes a small amount of their diet, relying mostly in foraging for food. Regardless, you never want to fuck with one of these animals. Simply stay far away and admire from a distance.
