My tretinoin doesn’t work

Ive been on it for 2-3 weeks and I’ve seen little to no results, maybe even slightly more spots. Anyone that takes it, how long till it works ?

When I was on benzoyl peroxide it was so much better, but my doctor gave me tret this time and it’s done fuck all

It makes my skin flaky and it breaks out so bad. Even touching my skin makes it super red and it won’t go away for 10 mins. I use 0.1 it’s really badd

Months. It took a while for me to see results. Do not use the sandwhich method if you want faster results. Try your best to switch to a stronger and stronger variant of tretinoin (i.e. 0.025 -> 0.05) whenever you can. If your acne is cystic, immediately switch to accutane. Consider trying an antibacterial brand of tretinoin like acnatac, which comes in gel form which is even better than standard tretinoin cream which is comedogenic.

There is nothing stopping you from using Epiduo or Tywneo.

You have to use it at rarer intervals at the start. My skin is pretty retinized so it doesn't get red even if I use way more than I should, so it gets better over time. Also you might be using it wrong, your skin should be bone dry before applying any retinoids.

I use something similar to this, try using peels at a cosmetologist to speed up the process. If nothing works then switch to accutane, I'm considering asking my derma to do the same for me because I still get new breakouts even if my skin texture is way nicer now.

ive been on tret post accutane 3 months and my residual acne is clearing up its soo fucking good
