Any success with long term use of NAD+ (Nicotinamide Riboside) for anti-aging?

Some oldcels claim it's a miracle drug, so do studies apparently.

What's the catch? It's a bit pricy, but if it really yields significant impact - worth it.

Tag @Seth Walsh and @Cope for anti-aging advice

I think its not meant for superficial aging. If you want to stay young looking, you need sunscreen, botox, laser treats, retinA, skincare and facelifts.

Stop recommending botox, you moron. It’s literal poison, one of the worst that exist. Muh anti-aging, it irreversibly inhibits neuronal acetylcholine release and acetylcholine decline is a huge factor in degenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s and aging in general!

So 1.5 million+ yearly botox treatments all cause the side effects that you have? If its so bad, why is it the most common beauty treat?

It worked great for me. Literally turned the clock back after a few months and now seems to be making me age more gracefully. Also that is BS about needing to buy the more expensive NMN or that other booster Riboside they sale. Standard 500mg of real Niacinamide or 500mg Niacin (I alternate daily between the 2) from the health food store gives you the same NAD+ boost. My guess is it won't do much for people under 35 however.

So how exactly did it turned your aging clock back?? Your collagen and skin improved?

Fear of getting scammed

Yep the scam is how Dr. Sinclair and others have convinced people to pay 60 bucks or so for something that you can get the same effect only paying 9 dollars or so.

The main places it improved me was skin and hair. Skin started to look younger and hair grew back where it was balding at my crown and on my arms and legs etc. Hairline in front is still receded a little due to age but hair is growing better behind there. Just felt better also. The only thing I would caution like I stated above is I think this will only help you if you have reached mid 30s.

Dont know of there is any science proof about boosting collagen and hair growth. Maybe it was some sort of imaginary placebo effect

Hundreds of people have side effects, many suffer for years. I’m in touch with these people, there are Facebook groups for “botox victims“ and mile-long discussions on realself. The true nature of botox is swept under the carpet by both injectors and manufacturers because it’s making them rich. It’s all about the money. Read the black box warning, they even admit it can cause serious side effects. It didn’t happen only to me, it happens to thousands of people but you only want to believe the comforting lies because it’s so convenient to spare 10 minutes three times per year for a wrinkle-free forehead, right? The poison spreads and no matter how good your doctor is, he can not prevent it. It’s the nature of that substance. Your doctor most likely isn’t up to date with the current research on botulinum toxin A. Keep sucking big pharma’s cock but remember, if shit ever hits the fan (which can happen anytime with botox), no one will be able to help you

Ridiculous. If anything, overdosing niacin will make you age faster by sucking up methyl groups and decreasing your insulin sensitivity. Don’t let the temporary flush and reddish “afterglow” fool you. B3 in excess is bs

No it was 100% real and I am definitely aging better than my friends now it seems. It really kicked in about 2 months after taking the niacinamide/niacin to where the hair/skin started responding. People were even commenting on the change and I would just laugh and say I am finally getting some good sleep.

We all have our opinions but I can 100% tell you it has done this for me and seems to still be working after some years of using it.

does this one also cause red flushes??

I had that one, in pill form. But the red flush was to brutals for me. I just couldn't sleep, when i took it in the evening before bed. It lasted so long, that red flush. and ichy.

I read studies also, to confirm. after 30's. NAD boosting is legit ati aging. I heard that Niacin might be a little bit troublesome for liver over time at high dose intake long term. maybe I wrog.

I only alternate the 2 because they use 2 different pathways to produce the NAD+ But my initial effects were from just taking 500 mg of Niacinamide for the first few months which doesn't red flush you like Niacin.

I am kind of addicted to that flush now.

thanks for feedback and answer.

my red flushes were giga brutals. Maybe I'm more subseptable to it. I could maybe consider decrease dose of it. than less flush, maybe.
especially it lasted so long with me. Hours. like 3 orso

I think its that slow release crap kind at the drug store that can mess a liver up. Not even sure if that mess even raises NAD+ like standard Niacin.

No I take both on an empty stomach a few hours before going to sleep.
the box always advice with meal, I saw.
but i recall a study suggesting, best before sleep on kinda empty stoomach for maxx effect.

But since it porhinbited my sleep, maybe I will this time just stick with taking i with meal. to see what happens.
Still have the niacin in house.

With Niacin a meal will reduce the redness some. Just made me remember another initial effect I got and that was dreams so real feeling that it was waking me up at night. That slowed down after a few weeks however.
