So yes, a black man did pioneer a much more durable, reliable and better quality microphone, that is broadly used in a vast range of technology to this day.

As for your claims of Mike E. Dean being "overshadowed" by his white peers:

If you know anything about engineering and science developments, you'll know they usually involve team effort. Nuclear fission, the discovery of DNA, and the invention of the NASA Saturn V Rocket were all collaborative efforts. That doesn't negate the scientists at the top who contributed the core theory to, or led these research projects.
Mike Dean wasn't just "there". He was the leader of a team, and he created the foundation of theory of which other (talented) people were able to build off of. His role was central and crucial, NOT minor, to the development of PC and ISA bus software. Dean walked so the engineers that came after him could run.
He still holds 3 of the 9 patents to the original PC technology, along with 20 patents in total. If that isn't incredibly impressive I don't know what is.
It's extremely disingenuous to say he wasn't a talented man who was the leader of a team who developed one of the most widely used inventions to this day. You could choose a wide range of other arguments to back up your idea but instead you're resorting to logical fallacies, lol.
