Hello reader, today I will be explaining the namecolorpill. Please don't hesitate to write to me in replys if you have any questions, comments or concerns. It is also important to note that there is no official studies backing up my words, and is only based on personal experiences and observations. But without further Ado allow me to begin todays thread.
WHAT IS THE NAMECOLORPILL?
The namecolorpill is the difference in name colors on looksmax.org, weather it be from reaching a certain number of posts, purchasing VIP or in rare cases, having your name color be custom designed. This may seem like a somewhat useless feature at first glance, giving no advantage with post interaction or rep accumulation, but as I will explain there is more to the namecolorpill than what you may think.
EXAMPLES OF THE NAMECOLORPILL
Imagine 2 identical threads being posted with the only difference being the name color in the users that created the thread. A little grey name is something you would just scroll past, and most likely not even interact with (It is important to note that there is a stigma around greys that they don't rep back, but for the sake of this post we will say neither reps you)
Ignoring the post dates and how the first thread has a prefix, ask yourself "what thread would I rather reply to if I had to choose 1" I GUARANTEE the majority votes the first one, simply because he has a cooler looking name.
Same exact reply, but who would YOU rather give your rep to. THE SECOND ONE. Haven't you noticed that 99% of greys (myself included) have a NEGITIVE post to rep? Its because their name seems untrustworthy because they are new to the forum. Same way that girls like tall guys because they seem more trustworthy (because they can better defend them physically)
CONCLUSION
The name color is the same as any other form of attraction. A better name color signals trust, belief and draws you to them. This post is water and I'm just posting to post, but nonetheless an interesting theory that I'm sure somebody will find interesting. That's all for today,
