That was a light version of communism - small businesses were still allowed, people could travel and go to work in other countries, there wasn't much censorship, western music, movies, books, etc. were permitted, etc., back then we envied them, Romania was closer to North Korea in its implementation of communism and life was much more difficult.

Yea the whole eastern block was pretty bad, yugoslavia was a special type of communism and it was pretty good tbh all things considered, most old people speak well of the system from when Tito was alive in that way it was an actual good socialist society.
