Narcissism is actually not ideal. Psychopathy is much better than Narcissism.

The flaw of narcissism is that narcissists always need social validation to feel good about themselves. While psychopaths need only self validation. Thats why narcissists are very competitive and they usually work really hard in life, and they care a lot about money, career and social status.

Both narcissists and psychopaths will hurt other people. But narcissists hurt people to feel social superior. Deep inside, narcissists are full of envy and insecurities. While psychopaths hurt people for fun and amusement. Mentally, psychopaths are full of contempt and boredom.

Psychopaths treat life like a Skyrim game, with everybody else is a NPC and the psychopath himself is the Dragonborn. While narcissists treat life like a game of chess, with everybody else is an opponent.
