Narrow palate ≠ narrow jaw?

Some models and actors like Jordan Barret, Timothee Chalamet, Leonardo DiCaproo seemingly have narrower than ideal palates in photos of them smiling but still have wide faces and jaws. However it is common knowledge that the larger the palate the wider the face, right? What are thoughts on this topic

None of the people mentioned truly have incel tier palates i imagine (<34mm) so maybe it matters to an extent but anything after that makes little/no difference
