Yu Yu Hakusho was the shit, and the anime that laid the foundation for everything that the shonen genre means today (basically all cool shit today), like the character archetypes, the conflicts between the characters, the type of action and the fight itself, but also which at the time had practically all genres combined.

Yu Yu Hakusho ran, so Hunter x Hunter, Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, etc. were able to walk
