When using the facial flex the lips are stretched in a straight line
Make Up 104CR2 tagged 200x300

It's been noted that all the lip elevator muscles all are a factor in nasolabial folds

High IQ users would it in theory be better to stretch in a U shape with or against these muscles to minimize nasolabial folds?

My orthodontist told me this would not happen in young people because the skin elasticity is too high

Yeah thinking of stretching very slow over a long time to let muscle / skin adjust

Just wondering if it would be best to stretch with or against the muscles

Has someone asked more than just an orthodontist for us oldcels? I have a post op appointment tomorrow and might just ask my surgeon what he thinks

The real blackpill about this is that it is mostly about your maxilla's projection and around 20% dependent on your age/skin texture.

But i don't think stretching in a U shape would help has smiling itself enhances these folds.

Yeah i see but I would just minimize risk

I was just thinking what pulling either with or against the muscle would either hypertrophy it or atrophy to an extend and therefor reduce the risk

How wide is facial flex? Can you make it wider?

I think hypertrophy would enlarge these folds and make you naso-mouth area look weird. I've heard many times smiling causes this.

This is why i recommend smiling less and opening your mouth as less as you can so you might hopefully cause atrophy. This is just my opinion btw.

Yeah but wouldn't slowly stretching with the muscle (not against it) cause it to atrophy over time? So while stretching lips you atrophy lip elevator muscles and decrease risk of folds?

Honestly, my head is spinning right now.

Sorry man, idk.

You should ask someone who is actually high IQ. But I hope what I said so far helped you in some or the other way.

I'm 15 and got folds from it. Your ortho recessed your maxilla, why would you believe him for anything?

Muscle activity in this area will cause nasolabial folds because it moves the fat pad laterally

But will a up and outward stretch stretch atrophy these muscles?
