Many caucasian people have deep set canine fossa and a protruding maxilla but they still have nasolabial folds
Its usually occlusion related in that case, but it could also be due to fats

Btw if you have deep canine fossa and recessed maxilla [unlikely if you are a male] then you will have nasolabial folds no matter what
