Every Time I see a flag in someone's bio I cringe inside.
People act like their national identity has existed for all of humanity. At the end of the day it's just another cope and gives meaning to a meaningless world today. Doesn't matter how monolithic or homogenous your country is, it won't survive forever. Even the 1 billion Indian curries and ricecels who exist despite their differences will soon become something else and split amongst themselves just like the Romans who dominated the ancient world did. Joining the army is the most retarded profession unless you're being invaded by an external force.
