Natty bodybuilding and bodybuilding in general will always be hard capped by your frame I.e your height skeletal structure and muscle bellies enhanced or otherwise.

Here’s natural bodybuilders in suits before steroids proliferated in the scene

Steve reeves the utter gigachad of his day 6’1 (1.85m) 18.5 inch biceps, 52 inch chest and ungodly 29 inch waist.

No one cares what some genetically gifted top percentile Chad ( who may have used basic forms of dbol even in those days) has to say. I’ve seen random TikTok fags surpass his physique in one cycle ( provided they have the right structure).

Bodybuilding was made popular by drug addicts who were simply gifted with good frames and insertions. Nothing else.

It probably costs 10x more to finance diet than steroids

Health yeah, but you can mitigate a lot of the sides

Reeves had insane skeletal frame, look at that mofo, he mogs the other men into oblivion in those pics.

Explained in the simplest possible terms:

In 99% of cases, you do not need steroids to reach peak muscularity to attract women, you only need steroids if you must mog other men.
And even in the 1% of cases in which steroids would be legitimately necessary, the health drawbacks (which are in most cases permanent) are simply not worth it.

Exogenous testosterone was known since 30s or so, some of early bodybuilders might have still use it. Even they didn't, there were genetically gifted and it can be like "Well, good for them, unachievable for majority of people tho"

It was known in the medical sense from 1935 and only became established around 1939 even then its use took a while to proliferate. I can believe Reeves maybe used it later in his life during his movie roles to maintain size but I am inclined to believe he was natty in his youth. You are right about the genetics but though but honestly a lot of that doesn’t change whether you’re on gear or not bone structure is set in stone
