A Wisconsin doctor who was 14 weeks pregnant claims she suffered a miscarriage within days of receiving the Covid-19 vaccine.

According to social media posts, Dr. Sara Beltrán Ponce was enthusiastic about receiving the vaccine "to protect myself, my baby, my family, my patients, and my community!"

"14 weeks pregnant and fully vaccinated!” Ponce wrote on Twitter on January 28. “When it’s available to you, I encourage you to do the same!"

One week later on February 4 Ponce announced she'd suffered a miscarriage.

"I’ve always been open about my motherhood journey in medicine, and it’s with a heavy heart that I tell my #MedTwitter family that I’ve suffered a miscarriage at 14 ½ weeks," Ponce tweeted.
