Only meant for people who actually missed out on social development/teen romance + being social outcasts all their lives

Have you found a way to blend in and operate like a normal person?

The goal is to understand how dialogue building works when normies do it subconsciously, then replicating it manually with enough practice until it becomes second nature

i have never checked if i am actually ND or just socially awkward or any of the other terms (introvert, ND, awkward, etc)

but i've never been able to socialize, even if at times i am somehow in a group (project, work) i'm js a background person and i never talk

Why do you think that is exactly?

closest an ND individual can get to fitting in is maintaining a somewhat low profile and trying to not get too triggered emotionally, the mask usually slips when you have strong emotions be them positive or negative, but you'll never truly fit in and at the very least people will thin you're a bit awkward

Im pretty nd and I fit in well, just out yourself out there, if you have a popular group of friends then your set

That's somewhat true to an extent, getting frustrated does make me start to stutter especially if I'm angry but I've found it best to just avoid situations where it's likely to get heated.

Otherwise during times when I decide to socialize people think I'm a normal person, it's exhausting though.

Tbh having autism isn't always enough to make you unable to fit in, certain individuals are brought up in an environment that responds positively so they still learn to interact with others just fine

Kids who are isolated during socially developmental years typically never really recover besides learning to mask

I mean sure i can also pass as a normie but you have to constantly put effort into maintaining that image and if you get too drained people might notice, so is that even considered fitting in? neurotypicals are like water they just adapt to whatever situation they're put into without really having to do anything

i'm not a creative thinker, i can't extend a conversation past the material already given (if someone says hi, i say hi, maybe how are you, after that idk what to say back unless they give me a general topic of what we are talking)

i have never had interests or unique traits to myself

i am a pretty boring person (i'm sure even just this text reads out pretty plainly)

even when i try to talk and fake a personality, while it can work, it takes a lot of energy, requires some preperations, and it isn't consistent in how well it works

He's probably just slightly socially awkward at worst
Agreed, he speaks as someone who didn't really struggle with it

I am trust me, the moment im next to the opposite sex I just shut down and my vocabulary is limited, I start blushing and everything. Just find a popular friends group, get invited to parties and get drunk there, you can get to know people and then hopefully get better at socialising

But it's all I've ever wanted as a child, watching my peers interact with each other throughout my school years

I've managed to secure my understanding of it all as an adult, and yes it's exhausting as hell but I'm glad I have the skill

This is a normie trait lol

yeah , there are other factors as well, but if you try and think about how to be considered NT you can generally appear typical to norms and people in spaces where most conversations are fundamentally transactional :ogre::feelsgood:

This was my exact problem but it was the fault of my parents who religiously fear mongered me into never being knowledgeable about whatever kids were into back then then throwing me into a public school near the end of middle school which felt like being a caged animal thrown into a forest and being expected to function

You just have to build an internalized dialogue system which you follow like a blue print, take that specific given material and break it down into details from which you branch off into sub-topics. Obviously you need to have knowledge on some of the stuff normies would be into as well

I can fit in sometimes but whenever im stressed the mask slips. I take nootropic shit in order to lower my cortisol and so I can actually focus on anything and it helps me be less resentful self hating and depressive. Recently I’ve just started to not care at all as I have no real friends and I’ll probably never truly fit in

Correct, everything is biologically transactional but the issue stems from normies not having to consciously build dialogue by stepping into the perspective of the other person in order to choose what the next best move to make which would appeal to someone be

It feels like manually running 20 different internal apps which monitor tons of different aspects of the interaction taking up "RAM" figuratively, which limits the creativity

I've been feeling the same way, self isolation is becoming too comfortable and I wouldn't want to lose what I've built

Glad you've managed to cope with it though

tbh i don't really mind

i've never been socially motivated, i don't feel the need to start a conversation and i can already deal with a conversation that started

It's a good thing if you're fine with it being that way, I can't say the same tbh

Was always brutal yearning to be the center of attention for once watching some kid having a group of friends listening to him without getting bored by what he had to say

masking is usually really hard in actual social settings because of those variables you talked about, but if you slowly build up your social understanding through increasingly difficult situations, you should be able to adapt :ogre::feelsgood:

a simple way to verify this would be by working up from increasingly conversational settings

I can relate to an extent of that but I did manage to finally crawl out of the hole where I had to depend on people to choose me in my adult years, however I've realized that being a normie and having several "friend groups" is equally if not more exhausting and only leads to resentment as you watch them do something you never had given to you naturally

Tbh just working on simmering down my resentment towards normal people

It's not their faults their environment positively reenforced them growing up, but at the same time I wish I was one of those people, being ignorant looks like it's an easier life

for me personally it wasn't about being rejected, i was the one doing the rejecting. i find it nearly impossible to find people with a similar worldview, like on an extreme level. i never had issues with attention from girls but i just rejected everyone because i didn't vibe with them, not sure if that makes me an ND or whatever. i get these random bursts of hatred toward people out of nowhere, they just all get on my nerves and i hit them with a reality check in a pretty brutal way. because of that i have basically no friends left in my life but honestly i think that's a good thing — they were leading me toward self destruction anyway. i'm really shy when it comes to girls. at some point i just realized i have one life and i need to use every opportunity and push through my own limits. i often notice when someone isn't interested or doesn't care but i don't show that i noticed and just keep talking. to push through i built up my self image in my head to this point where i believe i can do everything better than anyone. i forced myself through it, it was genuinely brutal, over 3 years i became more social compared to what i was before. but i wouldn't call myself an extrovert by any means.

slightly off topic from the original post but i'll drop it anyway

You had women approaching you but rejected them out of a principle? Sounds privileged but maybe you might just have some form of chemical imbalance in your brain which barred you from enjoying the gifts life gave you

yeah but it was tied to my migration to Poland from Ukraine because of the war, i figured they just wanted the exotic factor. i was actually scared to come to school because of them lol. i'll put it this way — they like my appearance, especially Polish girls, and i genuinely don't know why. but compared to Polish guys at the time i just stood out. translated thru ai cuz dont mind this ai — bullshit

Enjoy your spoils and stop limiting your own life

i'm limiting my own life through the fact that i'm scared of women and i'm looking for something like once and forever. i don't consider one night stands a privilege, i find it disgusting.

not every, but mostly id say that they are similar in every aspect of life. 90% are low iq
