ask basic questions like:

Ask follow up questions to their answers, and if they answer vaguely just say something then leave. You’ll know when someone doesn’t want to talk to you unless you’re autistic or have some other diagnosis

Stare at their eyebrow area, not eyes to make it less awkard
I also find it easier to make conversation with shorter people because its less intimidating i guess. so start by practicing making conversation to shorter people

eye contact idk. dont try to stare. you can switch your focus from one eye to the other to the mouth and back (but not often)

yeah its very obvious when someone's looking at your hairline or hair. their eyes are completely above you.
Its easier to look at someone eyebrows when talking and Ive also heard it makes you seem more confident as well, but im not sure about tht.
