No, they aren't recessed. My jaw is not recessed. I just storage a lot of fat in my face. My issue is because of my huge double chin.

Do a hard mew (place the back of your tongue hard against your soft palate). If the droop disappears then there's very little fat and you just have a low hyoid bone. If not then it's fat. Lipo is more effective than kybella because that looks like a lot of fat.

You need to identity if the fat is superficial in the dermis layers, or if it's supraplatysmal in the muscle layer.

If the fat is superficial, then submental liposuction would be an effective method. Fat-dissolving injections do work here, too, but only for moderate amounts of fullness. (It can become quite costly).

If the fat is supraplatysmal, then a submental lipectomy or even perhaps a neck lift would be better suited - as the surgeon has to remove the fat from under the muscle.
