For those who neck train:

Is your weight/reps for extension close to your weight/reps for curls or is there a significant difference? For me it’s basically the same.

My neck extensions are a bit weaker, I'm using 40kg for curls and 20kg for extensions.

I use resistance bands so it’s not directly comparable, but I do use the same bands and reps for both curls and extensions. I do about 50 reps of each now cause the bands are too weak, worked my way up from 1 band for 20 reps to 2 bands at 50 reps. Neck is up from 39 to 42cm.

I only do curls I'm too scared of injury in my neck, also how much do you curl OP, what is the equivalent in weight to your bands?

I tested it with a luggage scale in line with the bands, 17kg for 50 reps

50 reps! Maybe you should up the weight that feels like an unnecessary amount

I feel like high reps light weight is less risky for the neck.
I could use some heavier bands though.

Where do you measure it, below or above adams apple

I get the same measurement in both places now, it used to be lower below the Adam’s Apple though. I’d just go with whatever the lowest is.

I've just but a plate on my neck and did curls for the past several months.
My neck to gonial width is now ideal.

Thats amazing. Good job. I have been on and off with neck training and have gotten zero result due to shiity efforts. I have been locked in tho recently.

I keep them the same weight to avoid some imbalance
