people all talk about neck training but how the fuck do you actually do it. Like hypertrophy 7 reps? And how to not look like an idiot at the gym

I personally just press a weight to the side of my face, then I lay( sideways) on a bench with my head off the edge of it, and bend it up and down with the weight on it. Then lastly, I just lay on the bench but this time facing up, again head off the edge, and then simply move my head up and down (no weights this time) like I’m nodding. I do this one for about 30 reps, tbh.
How to avoid looking like an idiot?
You can’t, just accept it. In life you can’t care too much about what others think of you. Think of it as not just training your neck but also your willingness to not give a shit.
