Need Advice for Career Maxing

I'm 16 and have no work experience and I wont be going striaight into a 4 year due to my servere case of junioritis however I have a cerfitcation from a Building Construction course and I am desiring to become an electrican
My general game plan is to stack cash, invest and build skills in my early 20's, make a business in my main line of work and successed about a 25 milion dollar networth at mid to late 30's establishing my empire, branch out into other areas such as regeneative farming, copper mining, real estate, water treatment, and finally in my 60's or 70 build libraies, scholarships, buildings, research, garden programs etc
I can work will with my hands, and if I apply myself I could become an engineer if i wanted but i lowkey hate school, and I don't want to be an employee forever life is too short not to build your own vision I see as a stepping stone for my ultimate vision

It’s true when they say a lot of GCs and GC supers start out as carpenters, I believe there are even courses within the carpenters training union that actually prepare you to be a super.

However you are not getting in the carpenters union unless you actually know someone. I was fortunate enough to know somebody, but it’s not like the IBEW where you can walk in and put your name on a list and hope to get a call for apprenticeship.

And speaking of the IBEW, I’d argue it’s the hardest union to join right now. Everybody from lesbians, old people having midlife crisis, and young retards who heard “you can make 200k working with your hands bro” wants to join the IBEW right now.

In my opinion the absolute best path you highlighted would be the electrical engineering route. Best outlook if you get your PE license and less competition as people who choose this degree are USUALLY very smart. However this course is extremely taxing, so if you already hate school, forcing yourself to go through one of the most difficult 4 year program would be suicide.

However the best route for someone looking to work in a blue collar field and also develop a business of their own would probably be commercial mechanical systems (hvac, refrigeration, ductwork, plumbing). Higher margins because you and your people have to be licensed. I’ve heard online HVAC is getting exceedingly overcrowded due to this new found push to get into the trades, however nowhere near as bad as electricians have it.

Keep in mind finding an apprenticeship will be the hardest part of whichever path you choose. You might have to go nonunion for a while working for peanuts and in shit conditions.
