what i did was i just forced myself to talk to people or forced conversations with people, overtime you just become better at it and you get used to simply talking to people, a painful process but it worked for me

introverted doesn't mean bad, anti social also. If you have small circle of friends stick with them and you don't need more if really introverted. If you want to ''fix'' being socially awkward you have to force your self to talk to people and it will mitigate it but never truly fix it.
