Need advice to help fix overbite with orthodontics

I have a overbite and I'm stuck to perma jutting right now to not look subhuman. I'm going to ask my mom if I can get put on Damon braces or Invisalign. I'm 16 turning 17 in a month so I honestly don't know if its even going to do anything in fixing my facial aesthetics. Just looking for help on this topic.
