plus i work full time. do you have any advice?
Plan surgeries while saving, sometimes it will take a year from consult till surgery, saves hella time. Whole plan is easily 50k, if you live with your parents and work full time instead of college it will be insanely easy.

Do you think getting a new skull is a better investment than college?

I agree btw it is so fuckcing annoying how absurd the wait times are I wish I knew that earlier

i go to college already its pretty much free. and yes a new skull is worth delaying college.

Yeah I know a lot of forum dwellers are autistic about this but I genuinely don’t want to go to get my advanced degree until I look good

Yeah man always better to assume it’ll take about a year

Took almost a year for me to get a strabismus surgery date in the US

Saving up 50k isn’t insanely easy regardless of who you live with lol

Go see an omfs within your insurance plan asap it’s not guaranteed to take a year make it clear you are seeking cosmetic surgery. If it’s a good surgeon you’ll feel like you are in good hands and your only responsibility is getting money

my insurance probably wouldn't cover anything tbh and they'd probably give me some small movements that i wouldn't be satisfied with.

I’m just saying that so it’s easy to get a consultation like if you have insurance go see the best omfs within that branch and express a desire for cosmetic surgery. Having a guy with 2 degrees analyze your scans is a big relief. Personally I consulted with a surgeon and he said he’d be willing to do an aesthetics based procedure like a genio+implants even though he’s never done that before. These guys work on actual trauma patients and people who have actual skeletal deformities. So it totally depends on the guy but if they like you it’s a big +. Think about it they have to work on people coming into the hospital with severe injuries and extremely obstructed airways, so getting to map something out lets them truly do their best work

If you go yeah insurance probably won’t cover a double jaw but I’m telling you don’t listen to these assholes bro they don’t wanna help they just criticize and don’t show their face. You can get a cheap consultation in your insurance and you’ll have a scan and an actual base to work with. You’ll get opinions from a true professional regardless if that person is actually working on you it’s a step in the right direction. You can figure out if you are even a double jaw candidate. There’s a lot more that goes into it than just “I don’t like my face” even if you can pay it of pocket there are obstacles such as your dental anatomy. A lot of surgeons just won’t do it. Even if you find one that will, your maxilla might not be clinically recessed and a jaw wrap which is much cheaper along with a few other procedures could be your best option but if you want to stop guessing just go see a surgeon

If you work full time, or even more than 40 hours a week it will be very doable, especially if you dont really go out and shit.

So youre saying just go to a surgeon to see if im actually a double jaw surgery candidate? I mean i do plan on getting a cbct scan and sending it to a multiple surgeons in turkey to see if they can do my desired surgery and to see if they had any advice. i know some surgeons just do anything you ask them to and thats a sign of a bad surgeon but thats why im asking multiple well known surgeons. also i plan on getting invisalign after which is routine. But im not really guessing when it comes to my recession. I have all the signs of maxillary and mandible recession. I have an overbite, gummy smile, long mid face. and my chin and mandible are set way back. But thank you for the advice. im not gonna dive into this blind ive been researching for months and plan to do more.

Yes bro just get a consultation in the USA to get your scan and have an intellectual conversation with a surgeon. Djs is obviously super invasive so there are so many things that matter like your specific dental anatomy (ie your gum thickness). Your maxilla might not even be recessed which literally throws a double jaw completely out the window. Think about it, if one of your jaws aren’t recessed, and you do a movement, what happens to your teeth, and the other jaw? It’s counterproductive. Then again your airway could be compromised and maybe insurance could cover it? But that’s a big maybe. If your dead set on a double jaw yeah the best option would be to look outside of your insurance network if you’re denied, but you might not even be a candidate. There are other options. Also keep in mind a bimax WILL NOT add significant lateral with or change the gonial angle. Your best bet might just be a genioplasty+ other things if your maxilla isn’t recessed. But I’m not a surgeon and I can’t analyze your face based off of a few photos like that and neither can anyone else on org. That’s why you need to just go to a surgeon and take one step in the right direction

I definitely get what your saying but im pretty sure im recessed i also plan on widening my pallet and get ccw so.
