Need help on aromatose inhibitors and metformin

Lot of experts here so asking the question.

Met a former skinnyfat nigga today, a year later. He has totally transformed from gymcelling, he said he took metformin and letrazole, an AI, to build muscle without getting fat and keep losing fat despite eating at maintenence.

Is he legit? Does this work? And of so do u need to take anything else to avoid side effects.?

I think he used metformin as an appetite suppressant and letrozole for gyno. I'm not expert in this topic tho.
