Only developped country have low birth rate

Less developped countries such as india or africa have very high biethrate.

It’s because the more rich a population is, the more likely they will be able to afford
Contraception methods, and they as well work in more urban field so they don’t need a lot of kids to work in the field.

If we don’t take into acocount imigration, the population in developped country should stagnate foreve or slighly increase, Not diminuate.
So it’s not really a problem

However my guess is that immigration would be the choice of the different gouvernements to dynamise the population and increase economical croissance, if what you say happen.
They already tried, but apparently immigrants are not assimilating very well in the west kek.

How am i wrong? Yes because they are starting to get more developped , the country is getting richer and richer, their birthrate yet still is 4-5x higher than usa..

Massive cultural & economic shifts.

Women would a. need to work less to spend time raising kids, b. men and women would need to want to have kids, and c. having only one full-time working parent needs to be enough to financially sustain a household.

There are some massive economic implications for society either way since economic growth will inevitably simmer down one way or another.
Either because half the population will need to stop being full-time workers or because a larger share of the population inevitably be retirees because of the low birth rates.

Personally, I don't see modern civilization fixing this. No developed country on earth has thus far. People simply do not want to make the sacrifices necessary to raise kids. The benefits of having kids (on an individual level) are greatly reduced compared to 200 years ago.

There's an ongoing trend on TikTok where women in their late 20s and early 30s celebrate having no kids:



Approaching it from an individual level, there's little wrong with one choosing to delay having kids but from a societal level, this is horrible for its demographics.
You can't quite put the responsibility of a nation on the shoulders of a single woman/man, but ultimately it's individuals who create babies.

There are no government incentives that'll make having kids a net-neutral expenditure. Choosing to have kids will always be a net negative for your finances (in modern civilisation). No government can afford to give each citizen the money it takes to raise children.

The consequences of this will be large. Welfare states will inevitably crumble, taxes will increase massively and skilled individuals will leave for countries with better prospects like the U.S.

TLDR: I think we're fucked. Modern civilization is really only about a century old, there's a realistic chance this experiment is fundamentally incompatible with propagating as a species.
