my first idea was to put weights on my face whist sleeping (this idea was months ago. Ofc it's stupid and it would cause my bones to be pushed back if anything)
My parents def won't get me a expander or MSE so I want to try a DIY just for the hell of it (time's going to pass by anyways, why not try some things)

. DIY Reverse Pull Setup with Elastics

  • You can simulate a facemask without buying the full orthodontic kit.
  • Method:
    • Get a sports headgear frame (like wrestling headgear) or forehead/chin strap from Amazon.
    • Attach orthodontic elastics or strong rubber bands from the headgear to an intraoral anchor (could be a mouthguard with hooks).
    • This pulls your upper jaw forward while you wear it.

any chances of working? any modifications I should make? is it a waste of time to try?

this requires screws in the face.

was it like a face pulling or belt pulling guide? I seen someone talk about some hockey headgear for growth a few months back last time I remember.

pretty sure someone posted something similar before.

in theory i think it could work but it might require screws or a headset specifically designed for it. maybe you could use a basic headset as a base and 3D print attachments? and the elastics would have to be kind of powerful to actually do anything. but it could work

bro just thumbpull
Mew too
Ez
growth is way too small. It does work tho, i've been tracking my teeth distances over the months. one of my teeth used to flar inwards, now it's perfectly aligned with the other ones.

I doubt it was the thumbpulling, just natural development

show me what your device you'll use will look like.
Yk what a orthodontic facemask is
Very similar
But downsides to it:
1. Forward but downward growth but WE need ccw rotation
2. Causes slight retrusion to the mandible (WE need our mandible)
3. Mandible isn't able to come forward so overbite

Get the retainer with hooks that comes with the facemask
Then I'll make a modified facemask with a help of a org user here as he knows a lot about dentistry and this type of stuff

Before getting the ''facemask'' I'll get X rays to know what angle to apply the elastics at
From there making the actual helmet isn't hard
Might 3d print one but depends if the material is strong enough

yes I already know what I face-mask is.

and yes we do need CCW, any ideas on how we can get it?

You see those elastics
They're angles downwards
WE need angled upwards to bring the maxilla forward and up
Everything else will follow
I only have three problems to solve
Force of elastics and timeframe and amount of time wearing

hmm. I thought someone already made a thread on how everything else doesn't follow... @Jonasㅤㅤ made it or it was someone else. So how exactly will you get the set up to position them upwards?

If they say it doesn’t work then they don’t know what they r talking about because it’s been proven by scientific studies facepulling works

does bone smashing work? new forces/exposure on bone=more bone growth? I see people kicking hard shit with there shins and they get wider... but i'm assuming it doesn't work and it's only environmental change/diet

Exactly, wolf’s law doesn’t apply to Bonesmashing really

Zhangs law however proves Bonesmashing works

how can you alter it so it would apply? things like ortho devices? but there's no DIY's right?
Theoretical law which isn’t meant for this topic. Hijacked by retards; won’t do a thing for you. Focus on getting osteotomies and not this rubbish.

Realism = negative(?)

Again, I'm all for innovation, I'm just against retarded pseudoscientific concepts that feed into peoples delusions and copes.

Go try it the fuck out then. JFL at you seeing negative intentions while I'm trying to stop people from wasting their time.
