Need smart intellectuals

So i am like an inch away from breaking up with my first and only girlfriend (im 17) im out of her league and have had many opportunities from prettier girls. Would keeping a long term relationship all the way to college be more beneficial in mental maturity and for overall development or would getting around a bit give me better experience for the real world?
