msg me

honestly does look like a moisture barrier problem to me but what do I know
I had similar acne when I fucked up my moisture barrier with oil cleansing - smallish pimples, often next to each other in places I don't usually have acne

I just stopped doing the aggravating thing (in my case it was trying to rub out sebaceous filaments with oil), I did apply moisturizer (tallow) & upped my dose of b5

that was like 2 weeks ago, now most of it is gone, however I still get occasional pimple - but that might be due to other cause like the gut-skin axis

do you think i should buy beef tallow or can i just continue using my cerave moistursier and do u have photos of ur skin prior?

fucked up skin barrier, most likely because of the accutane

Just keep going. Your skin will probably clear up in a couple of weeks and when you stop taking accutane your barrier will go back to normal.

i have 86 days left of accutane 13 weeks

you should find a moisturizer that works best for you
I had used cerave at first, but now I like tallow better & it does not irritate my eyes

photos of my skin are pointless because my skin had many ups and downs over the years

and I would recommend you do as this user says, try stopping accutane and get on b5
accutane really is the last option, it's very toxic and it's negative side effects can surface even years down the line

i went on various anti biotics for 2 years bro
i promise its the last resort

either lower your dosis to 20-40mg (side effects will be less strong but you will have to take it longer)

or, and thats probably the best option long term, just keep going and endure it.

Accutane is harsh on your body and you will feel like shit either way when you are taking it.

But its worth it in my opinion, bc its the only way to really get rid of your acne long term.

Just use as few products as possible. Definitely stop cleansing and maybe switch moisturizer to something more natural like beef tallow

i dont use it myself, so i dont really know any, but any organic high quality beef tallow will do

are you taking accutane on your own or do you get it prescribed by a dermatologist?

if so, ask your dermatologist, he/she knows best
do you reccomend a particular brand of beef tallow

it doesn't really have any if you take it legally under control of dermatologist since they check your bloodwork and liver but short term dry lips and skin
Ive finished 6 months, they only checked for liver shit before I got on.

i got it prescribed but he doesn't actually care he just gave me accutane cuz he saw i'd already tried everything else, they literally couldn't care less about acne most of the time, my next meeting is 6th of december with them

how come?
You have an increased need of vitamin b12 if you're on accutane.

your skin actually clearing i can see it keep using accutane

mainly the destruction of oil producing glands in the eyes, subsequently causing dry eye disease
these are the same type of glands whose oil production accutane is designed to down regulate to "fix acne"

DED is an age related disease, so let's say accutane cuts you gland oil production by 20 or 30% - you might not have issues right away
but you will have them once you get older

DED is untreatable

you should not speak about things you know shit about

my diagnosis is that you are reacting to something in the moisturizer you are using. try getting just plain no additive alo vera or grass fed beef tallow. All the medicated stuff is BS

Partially joking, have you had severe acne though
the thing here is that acne, even if severe, is a treatable condition - and it also is a mostly cosmetic too
dry eye disease is not treatable - and it's chronic, painful and makes life generally not that worth living (if the case is sever enough)

making that deal - remove acne, destroy oil glands and give yourself a chronic untreatable condition - is idiotic

(especially when accutane has such high rates of relapse)

how much B5 do you take per day?

Mostly cosmetic sure. But it can lead do devastating social consequences
dry eye disease is not treatable - and it's chronic, painful and makes life generally not that worth living (if the case is sever enough)
What is the chance of getting that, I highly doubt the rates are more than a couple percent

The oil glands are hyperactive in people with acne vulgaris
(especially when accutane has such high rates of relapse)
It doesnt, and I wont have to relapse cause my skin is still good months after

keep going on isotret it is most likely scarring and 20% acne

u will need laser anyways

how much B5 do you take per day?
start with 500mg taken with carnatine, and then keep upping the dose

this protocol had "Pantethine 750 mg with 250 mg of L Carnitine three times a day"

What is the chance of getting that, I highly doubt the rates are more than a couple percent
I'm saying "the chance" of getting reduced oil production is 100% - that's what the drug is literally designed to do dumbass
you can't reduce the oil in sebaceous glands without affecting the eyes at the same time with a systemic approach like accutane

The oil glands are hyperactive in people with acne vulgaris
I'm talking about the meibomian glands...

It doesnt, and I wont have to relapse cause my skin is still good months after
do whatever the fuck you want
do not reply
