⚙️ RESURFACING PROCEDURES

Target: Superficial to moderately deep scars (like rolling and boxcar scars)

  1. Laser Resurfacing
    • Ablative: CO₂, Er:YAG (removes top skin layers)
    • Non-ablative: Fraxel (stimulates collagen without removing layers)
  2. Chemical Peels
    • Medium to deep peels: TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid), Phenol
    • Cross technique (TCA CROSS): Spot application for ice-pick scars
  3. Dermabrasion
    • Mechanical sanding of skin (more aggressive than microdermabrasion)
  4. Microdermabrasion
    • Mild mechanical exfoliation (best for surface texture, not deep scars)
  5. Microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy)
    • Stimulates collagen by making micro-injuries
    • Often combined with PRP (platelet-rich plasma)

🛠️ FILLERS & VOLUME RESTORATION

Target: Atrophic/indented scars (rolling, boxcar)

  1. Dermal Fillers
    • Temporary: Hyaluronic acid (e.g., Juvederm, Restylane)
    • Long-lasting: Bellafill (PMMA), Sculptra (poly-L-lactic acid)
  2. Autologous Fat Transfer
    • Fat taken from your body is injected under scars

🔪 SURGICAL OPTIONS

Target: Deep or stubborn scars

  1. Subcision
    • Needle or cannula breaks the fibrous bands under a scar
  2. Punch Excision
    • Used for deep boxcar/ice-pick scars — scar is cut out and stitched
  3. Punch Elevation

  • Scarred base is lifted to skin level and sutured

  1. Skin Grafting

  • Often used after punch excision; fills deep scar holes

💡 OTHER ADVANCED TECHNOLOGIES

Often combined with above methods for enhanced results

  1. Radiofrequency Microneedling

  • Combines microneedling with heat to stimulate deeper collagen (e.g., Morpheus8, Secret RF)

  1. Plasma Skin Resurfacing

  • Non-laser energy treatment that resurfaces skin

  1. High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU)

  • Tightens skin and promotes collagen (less common for scars)

  1. LED Therapy (e.g., Red or Blue Light)

  • Mildly improves skin healing and inflammation (supportive, not primary)

🧪 TOPICAL AND INJECTABLE TREATMENTS

Used with or before procedures

  1. Steroid Injections

  • For raised (hypertrophic or keloid) acne scars

  1. 5-FU or Bleomycin Injections

  • For stubborn keloid scars

  1. Topical Retinoids (Tretinoin, Adapalene)

  • Improves texture and boosts cell turnover

  1. Silicone Gel/Sheets

  • For flattening raised scars

Better if you visit a derm. My basic routine for acne is with spf50, moisturiser from la roche posay and tret from skinorac

TCA peel from platinum skincare website, tape from Amazon. Must be silicone.

Do your research on TCA peel strengths. I used 13%. It took me a while because I was doing it in the middle of the school year and you need 2 weeks between each TCA peel session.

Cycle between peel and microneedling weeks. Use tape everyday except when skin is scabbing from peel.
how long till they were fully gone and where did u get them?

For the scars get EKLIEF Cream it's a pump just take one pump a day and then alternative with glycolic acid 6% cream. Use these two on alternative days. But i would like you to ask ur derma about these first.

ur telling me a cream more effective than a peel
The thing is i never tried a peel so idk whether it be more effective than the cream so why don't you try it yourself?

Peels arent that effective from my personal experience. I done BioRePeel which is like a 35% TCA Peel and it made no difference. It only dried and damaged my skin. Wouldnt recommend.

I am thinking of doing dermabrasion. It seems extremely effective. And by the sounds of it, it will completely remove my Acne Scarring and Hyperpigmentation. However idk about the down time and the consequence it might have on the skin. Any thoughts?

Yea there were multiple layers of the peel applied to my skin. Bro if im being completely honest I dont think a 13% TCA peel is going to work( still aswell to try it though). Like I said I did a 35% TCA peel and it did basically nothing except give me down time. Although I havent tried it yet by the sounds of it dermabrasion sounds like the only effective thing for Scarring. Essentially it removes the layers of skin by sanding it. But idk.

However looking at your skin idk if its just the camera or lighting but it doesnt look bad at all. Mines is significantly worse than yours so maybe a 13% TCA peel will be helpful for you. Good luck tho bro and hopefully you get the results you want.

I have done microneedling twice at a clinic at depths of 1.75mm and 2.25mm.
No studies involve microneedling deeper than 2mm, but in theory, there is no reason why a depth above 2mm would not work better.
Microneedling will work best for your superficial atrophic scarring.
If deep, do subcision.

p

yeah i went for consult 2 clinics suggested needling over laser
Its still your choice and they will give referral regardless
and for your low severity of acne scars it would be cheaper and disappear forever

they both said their lasers are more for sun damage and not so much acne scars which was weird

quite mild. but i know even mild scarring like that can fuck up with your mental. ur scars look very suitable for subcision, don't cope with lasers or needling, ur skin itself is actually really good, so u might not wanna fuck it up trying to fix ur minor scarring, look for area specific treatments such as subcision, excision etc.

Can you afford laser treatment? if so get it, most other is cope
muh lasers :soy: even claims other treatments to be cope lmao u dont know shit

yup, thank them for being honest instead of straight up scamming you for many sessions. lasers wont work for atrophic acne scarring unless its some real high setting fully ablative stuff, which isn't even worth the risk-reward, literally risking melting your fat pads for what? max %50 improvement or something
