I'm new to NEET. I'm looking for inspiration.
My current stats:
  • Couple of 6 month gaps in CV (applicant tracking system goes brrr)
  • Currently into my 9th month of unemployment (Almost full NEET, interviewed at a couple of places to research the current state of economy)
  • 1200 EUR/month welfare
  • Skiing, rock climbing, hiking and just chilling during the weekdays is the best thing because everyplace is empty
  • Also poker tournaments during the night and then sleeping until midday.
I know it's just rookie stats but I'm thinking about going for 3-4 years of NEET.

I'm looking for inspiration. Please share anything inspiration about being a NEET.

Worst part of being NEET was I needed to realize my capital gains and pay taxes. I couldn't temporary move tax residenty to Dubai because they don't accept NEETs.

I have been a NEET for over 5 years now since 22. It‘s getting fucking boring. My new goal is getting a good physique via boxing and becoming a pick up artist. I‘ll also try to search for opportunities to get rich but I have no idea if any of them will work.

You are just going through wageslaving withdrawal. Persist through it, find a job for a month if necessary but never forget that NEET is life and the highest moral attainment possible.

I never wageslaved. I avoided work like the plague since 15/16 and stayed in school until 22 when I dropped out.

You are innately awakened. I needed to wageslave to realise that it's fool's errand.

How do you have the funds to ski ? Skiing took at least 10k out of me a few years ago when I went. It wasn’t in Switzerland as well, it was in France.

Go in nature camp for several days

My initial plan was to work in tech (software engineer), and use money from tech work for living, and invest everything that's left in stocks.

I was hoping that I would eventually move to Dubai (get digital nomad visa and tax residency) to cash out all of the profits from stocks.

But I realized that I won't be able to do it soon because too much companies are cucked and don't allow to work outside of European Union even if they allow fully remote.

So I needed to close my positions in profit and now I use that money for living expenses...

I ski in cheap ski resorts in Italy. Ofcourse they are not scenic and don't offer a lot of variety. but it's good enough for me.

I rent long term off season places a little bit farther from the ski resorts and drive 45 min one way (but I also do climbing during winter).

In my country you get 1200 eur/month welfare (unemployment insuranse or something) for 9 months after quiting job if you meet the criteria (need to work around 2 years with higher wage or something).

My welfare is coming to an end, I didn't mention it in the original post, but maybe I'll find another job and repeat it again after a couple of years.
