This thread serves as an real life example of @Gargantuan amazing thread, which you can find below:
looksmax.org
I recommend reading it, since a very large percentage of this forum’s users fall into this category, as I saw just an hour ago, LIVE on national television, even when a guy has things like:
- a high level of education
- a career
- status
- above-average income
- property ownership
- so overall abundance of material resources
- and even simple forms of “looksmaxing”, like losing weight, going to the gym, getting a haircut, etc. (which is exactly what the guy in this thread’s example did, because he was was chubbier as a child and more of a nerd, and so he currently works in IT, spends a lot of time online, and is passionate about technology, etc.)
..and yet, on a reality TV marriage show, where girls and guys come to spend months together in the same house, getting to know each other, forming relationships, and the ultimate goal is marriage, our protagonist, solely and exclusively based on the way he operates / thinks and sees things, FUMBLES 3 GIRLS !!!
Three potential relationships, three potential LTRs, one after another, in a context where the three girls are attracted to him and are willing to let themselves be won over / get to know him better, despite the other men participating in this show..
Let’s provide a little context before we find out what really happened..
So, this is Alex:
Alex is 25, and as you can see, a white guy with blue eyes, not bald, about 6 feet tall, a bit of a gym rat.. he’s relatively in shape, not so fat as to be off-putting, but not as skinny as a model either..
He’s your typical nerdy kinda shy guy who, growing up, wasn’t exactly the most popular kid in class.. his social circle consisted mostly of other nerds obsessed with the internet and technology, and less with how to get girls..
His intelligence and passion have helped him build a career in web design, earning a very good income and owning his own home and car, achievements that set him far ahead of the other male contestants on this season of this marriage show, who are still renting or unemployed when they join the show, having only completed high school instead of a university
He said (though he might be lying about this) that he had been in two serious relationships, each lasting one and two years
These qualities helped him and initially made many of the girls on the show want to get to know him - so, he won, so to speak, in terms of "looks" / the goal of "looksmaxing" (to the extent that he achieved it) - which might later lead to a relationship, and by the end of the show, after six months (the length of a season), they might even get married..
So far in this show (only 2 months have passed out of 6), Alex has already interacted with or gotten to know 3 girls..
All three are different from one another in terms of personality and mindset; they are of different ages (between 24 and 29); some are shyer, others more outgoing; some want a more laid-back relationship that takes its time before moving on to something more serious, while others want a more mature and serious relationship as soon as possible..
The thing is, all 3 of these girls are pretty laid-back; they aren’t whores or dealing with psychological or personality issues. All three were physically attracted to Alex and were open to letting him win them over or having a conversation with him, etc. with the goal of having a serious relationship and getting married..
This is where Alex’s big problem comes in.. a problem that none of the other male contestants on the show have.. he’s the only one with such an “issue” (there are 9 male contestants on the show as an idea)
Alex, based on his behavior and actions, I realized that he is & has:
and
Here’s how this plays out for him, as I and the three girls observed:
- Lack of drive / motion / action / initiative / energy when it comes to making a move on girls, even if they like him and are right there at his disposal
- It seems like he doesn't know how to flirt / connect with a girl / make her laugh or feel comfortable around him. He always seems lost in thought and cold (at first, the girls thought he was doing it because of his "maturity")
- An exaggerated level of shyness and introversion (which, however, changes when he interacts with the guys in the show, or after he drinks alcohol, at which point he becomes much more outgoing)
- He doesn't know how to pick up on social cues about girls, often responding to the girls' dissatisfaction with silence or an attitude of "I have nothing more to say, this is the situation, what can I do?", which often leaves the girls frustrated by his inability to express himself or change the situation
- He believes that women should make more of an effort toward men, even though he doesn't reciprocate with the same level of initiative and energy (while the girls complain that he isn't making a move on them, that it's not normal for them to have to drag him along like a rock, and for him to stand completely still, while they keep pulling on the rope instead of letting go)
- Overall, he seems to have the mindset or attitude of a relatively virgin incel, but he’s very good at hiding it, and the rest of the people on the show are too normies to understand or see that, and sometimes they can only describe him, if at all, as being “a bit weird”
This whole situation went on for 2 months, until, tonight, the 3 girls basically put an end to it all, issued an ultimatum regarding him, and drew a conclusion about everything that had happened..
The conclusion reached by the three of them is that they’re all completely done with Alex, that they’re very disappointed in him, and Alex’s response to the whole situation was something like, “Yeah, what can I do?” which frustrated the girls even more, with one of them even asking him, “Are you a man or a woman? Why do we have to chase after you?”
And so, Alex will most likely leave the show in the coming weeks and end up alone, just as he arrived, and the future doesn't look bright for him, judging by his behavior..
Alex's case, however, was not unique in the show's history..
There were guys in previous seasons, such as the two below, who were much more popular with the girls than Alex, but because of their mindset and way of thinking, they failed to make a real connection with any of them, even though the girls were literally “pulling them along / they were pulling them by the hand” to get them to come over and do “something”

What can we learn from their experience, or Alex in particular?
No matter how much you ''looksmax'', everything about your brain, your mindset, past traumas, lack of past experience with girls or just right down to simply how you were born and how you act around girls, even if the girls are literally willing to be there for you because you attract them, will determine your success in relationships / potential marriage
Reality, then, becomes very brutal..
We often see couples like this on the street or online, and we always wonder, how did these relatively unattractive guys manage to get into a relationship?
More often than not, the answer is much simpler than we think.. and is the fact that they are:
And unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it, even if we're talking about looksmaxing..
Behavior often cannot be changed..

The myth of NTmaxxing: Why you can’t become what you’re not
Understanding neurotypicals and neurodivergents It has been a while since I last created a high-effort thread, but I felt compelled to write this one as this myth of ‘’NTmaxxing’’ needs to die out. To preface, this thread is not an attack on those who preach about the supposed "importance" of...
