It may seem like a good idea, even natural that if you are good natured, your friends pets will like you and gravitate towards you.
But if your friend is more evil than you on a subconscious level, their pets will begin to gravitate towards you and away from their original owners. They adopt you as their new owner.
This will cause strife between you and your friend as they get more and more jealous at the affection their pet gives you effortlessly, meanwhile they must jump through hoops in order to get even a fraction of the trust that their pet freely gives you.
My friends cat usually hates people. I'm talking hissing, scratching, biting etc. But with me, it curls up into a ball on my lap and falls asleep as soon as I sit down. He will meow and pet and head bump me constantly.
He even lets me tickle the underside of his feet and his tummy which is a very sensitive and very guarded part of a cats body, but I am allowed to do this because the cat senses I am a good natured creature. However, my friend has begun to feel resistance towards this when he tries it on the cat which is an indicator his own cat trusts me more than it does him.
I never feed the cat or anything and so this makes it even worse. The affection is freely given without anything in return except reciprocal affection.
Of course, I love that animals can see my true nature and get on with me. Random dogs in the street will always try to lick me instead of whoever is standing beside me. It's something I've had my whole life. But it can cause problems when your buddy begins to resent you because you are clearly a better person than they are and their pets can sense it. Not a good situation to be in.
Another thing to watch with psycho-normies I suppose. Add it to the list.
