I regret not buying an entry level Nvidia GPU like a 3060 or 4060, i got a RX 7600 NEW for really cheap and i feel like im the one that got scammed really fucking hard like this shit crashes on half the games i play and i troubleshooted it for so long its insane.

1060 in 2025 is crazy

Im talking about AMD GPUs, im pretty sure that cpu doesnt have integrated graphics either lol

As an software engineer with some knowledge of hardware. I think AMD gpus are great. Their open-source driver stack (AMDGPU + Mesa) is miles better for Linux users compared to Nvidia's closed ecosystem. Their ROCm is actually pretty solid if you're into ML or GPU workloads.

Nvidia definitely wins in CUDA and proprietary software support and their driver stability is still more polished overall but you're also paying the "green tax" For devs and tinkerers like me who care about open standards (Vulkan, OpenCL) and want more control. AMD's a better long-term bet

Tbh i think its a compatibility problem with my motherboard atp, even tho ive already updated to the latest BIOS. I benchmarked my PC for hours with all components at 100% and nothing weird happened.
I tried different drivers version and they are all shit there isnt a single one that works on every game i play there is always some games running like shit or crashing
