I went even though I didn’t really want to because I wanted to make my parents proud, now I am just dropping out after 2 months

You will never do good if you aren’t interested in it

I hate everything about it

I will make my parents proud my own way, I can’t with this cucked studying and rotting inside all day

Yeah it’s fucking stupid

Why would I slave away 4 years of my life and go in debt just to work a cucked job in an office all day with a bunch of other lifeless faggots

doing something for happiness is cope

emotion is like a sine wave and is relative

you can only not like doing something because your either doing something more productive or have something that artificially raises your enjoyment or have something that lowers your conscientiousness

Or know that you could be doing better things with your life that you will enjoy more

Yes, and university causes your happiness and fulfillment to be at sin (180°) for the rest of your life

If you are interested in it then it’s no problem at all, the problem just comes when you are doing something you hate just for the end result
yep i dont find my course and field boring personally speaking (Aeronautical Engineering)

My perspective on this is that reality is constantly changing
People plan their whole lives so extensively to be hit with something unexpected that destroys everything
Not to say you should purposely fuck up your life or not do things that benefit you
But nothing really matters. Just do what you want

Not exactly but yeah you can't necessarily do anything
comes from mindset and neurochemistry
Everything is just based on standards and what you view as value lol

so if you were in a fight to the death would you believe that nothing matters and therefore die or would you have objective good and bad?

people tend rely on god (what is objectively good) only when they are in danger but when they are in a good place they turn to going back to evil

if you believe in subjective meaning then seriously why don’t you kill yourself?

What are you in uni for?
to know people that i can’t find outside of uni, networking + for certifications that places require to get the job position—i like working in a job, there is no good in laziness.

I believe in objective meaning but its just biologically programmed
You're essentially just a robot following code. All your desires and thoughts flow from those.

so why do you think it’s not bad to stray from good?

you shouldn’t want free will, but be the will of god to win

Wouldnt someone still be more unsastified than the person who does something more productive/artificially raises their enjoyment even if they werent aware of the something more productive/artificially raises enjoyment
Like I feel like there would be a difference in pleasure from each activity or whatever

What's 'good' is just following your own brain though
That's why my answer is just do what you want.
"Bad" = forcing yourself to do something, living for other people
"Good" = following your own will and desires or ideals

Everything you make is a trade off
I remember you made a post and you mentioned that if every time you click a button you could make a million dollars, everyone would click the button. That just extends further and further. If you take each dollar value less, and each effort value more, what's your limit?
That's all its about

I mean if you enjoy it, then do it, that’s literally the entire point of this post, all I said was not to go to university if you don’t want to, because you won’t have the drive to do good

Also your in grade 10, you obviously don’t understand the stress that comes with doing a hard major, I was confident just like you at that age, things get a lot harder, and your ideas will change a lot

is it not bad to die? if it is bad to lose apart of yourself, then you must be identifying ideology as apart of yourself, this has never been good.

in fighting to the death, what is good is what works. you find the definition of good through your brain, you are not god.

I think you completely misunderstood the whole point of this post dude

I’m saying don’t go to university if you’d rather do something else, I never said everything you do needs to make you happy

Everything you do you should take into the ratio of effort:reward, if something will make you a lot happier while only sacrificing small amounts of rewards it will make you more fulfilled in the long run

Just because something is harder doesn’t make it better overall

lol it’s not that bad when you take drugs

I still flunked my mid term but that’s only because I left the studying to legit the last few hours so I couldn’t actually get everything in in time so I had to skip a lot.

But like I took some drugs for ADHD today and man they legit made studying fucjing fun

I dunno tbh
To me death is neutral. I view it as even merciful in some cases (provided its quick and painless)
Death = nothingness. 0
0 > a negative number

but yes in principle I can say that. In my case at least, there are preferable alternatives to death so that's what would define good.

It’s not just the studying I don’t enjoy, it’s the jobs that I will get, I have no desire to work inside as an engineer my whole life

happiness has no reason to be weighted

the only weight that should be concerned should be power

Depends on what you want to do. If you want to work in finance, tech, law, or medicine you have to. Technically you can get a tech and finance job with certifications and connections but law and medicine you absolutely need schooling for.

That doesn’t argue my take

If not for happiness and fulfillment then what is the point of power?
there is no other point to living than to ensure that you live and that your generations live longest
so if you were in a fight to the death would you believe that nothing matters and therefore die or would you have objective good and bad?

Yes, I’m not saying schooling is bad, I’m saying if you don’t want to go, then don’t, obviously if you want to become one of those jobs you should go

They make good money but man it seems like a dangerous fucking job, I wouldn’t ever do it. Stick to uni unless you have a proper plan

Yeah but in America medicine shouldn’t be done for money. You have to go to college for 4 years before medical school. Then 4 years, followed by a residency not to mention a fellowship.
