Never understood people who spend money on things that aren’t material.
I know a guy who wears the same old clothes, most borrowed from his dad’s closet, doesn’t spend money on fragrances, all of his socks have his toe protruding out, yet orders $100 meals every weekend and eats alone. He wastes money on gas despite driving a cheap car. Like bro, how do you spend so much on things that just disappear while you clearly need it for other purposes?
If you buy shoes, they stay with you because that’s real value, real possession. Money on food or gas is just gone, nothing to show for it. Imagine flying business class with a Seiko versus saving that money each time and eventually buying a Rolex. You can flex the Rolex forever, not the flight.
