Never understood why blacks are slaves

They're suppose to be physically stronger why not just revolt and fight back? But then i remind myself that the europeans at that time were much more advanced and had access to weaponry so they could easily enslave the blacks (negros) were living in huts so their physical advantage wouldn't have helped them.

They did revolt, multiple times in many different slave colonies, it's just none of the revolts worked except the one in Haiti, which the French punished them for

It wasn't like that; until the Industrial Revolution, there wasn't a significant technological difference between sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. If the slaves were black, it was because black leaders sold black slaves to trade with whites. A black Muslim philosopher once said that such a massive slave trade would eventually lead the world to associate black people with slaves.
