New ban system?

People are addicted to both posting and viewing content on the forum.

This is why I think self bans are pointless you can still view content

Implent a system where users can ask for a strict ban which prevents them from viewing content on the forum and posting, apart from looking at and posting on the ban appeal section, this could also be applied to users who get banned for strict offences (doxxing, idk other strict offences).

I tried to post this on the suggestions section which for some reason has moderation? idk if the suggestion didn’t get accepted (Idk why when one of the suggestions that got accepted was “preview for writing threads” when that is already a thing) or it has glitched

No, just feel that it is useless when users ask for self bans but they can still just as we’ll be addicted to lurking on the forum. I would ask for a self bans for a period of time when exams start but there is no point when I can just as well look at stuff
