This is despite the fact that engineering is half Asian and curry probably. Btw all the senior engineers are recessed balding LTNs so it’s not like this was always the case. I suspected this. It's only in entry-level and graduate level jobs where looks actually matter (ofc so does grades and experience but most people are on a level playing field here).

When it comes to senior and managerial positions, qualifications and merit DO MATTER because ultimately you are being judged on your output and ability to make the company money. Recruiters are also under pressure to make sure that they select good candidates saving HR hours and getting a bonus fee.

That ditzy bimbo or chad who doesn't know how to use PowerBi or Python are useless.
