Crazy stuff and doesn't really surprise me if there is a big connection. My local jail gives front and sideview arrest pictures of people and I went through over a hundred of them one time trying to test that theory about squarer head people not balding compared to rounder or more oval headed skulls and the rate of significant MPB was about 1/3 to 1/4 less in the squarer head people. I may have to do that again and just see what the difference is with the recessed chin people and the non recessed chin people and the underbites.

My guess is if it is limiting bloodflow a little that creates an environment more conducive to DHT doing its magic up there just like the theory with the tight scalps leading to more baldness.

Balding is primarily caused by skull shape. Which is why malocclusion is associated with it. When you don't chew enough your jaw AND your skull aren't getting the forces needed for them to get their proper shape. Which means certain areas of your skull don't get the expected bloodflow. Leading to hairloss around the crown and temples. While hair in areas with good bloodflow are almost never lost, the sides of your head.

DHT correlates to hairloss because DHT acts as a growth hormone for hair. More DHT = more nutrients needed for the hair to grow. Eventually the hair will become thinner to keep up with growth, and at the latest stage shutting down hair growth all together.

The second cause of balding is calcification of the arteries which again reduces bloodflow, which is why heart disease is correlated with balding, but if this is the case you have bigger problems.

The best way to stop balding is to unironically put egg on your scalp. It has been used as a successful treatment for centuries. Eggs contain every nutrient and your skin does absorb it. Reducing DHT with topical progesterone that competes for the conversion enzyme is also an option ( though not a very good one, and finasteride is just a worse version of this ).

A lot of nonsense in this thread. If androgens (DHT) weren't the unequivocally major component of hair loss, then women would be balding at similar rates.

There are plenty of other differences/factors
Men's skin being significantly thicker for example

Retard alert , fucking retard alert

It can be a major contributor without being the sole cause. See my post above.

No. I read your post, and it's nonsense.
Which part do you disagree with and what is your explanation for balding starting at the hairline temples and crown while never effecting the sides of the head?

I think that AGA is an adaption to environments with less direct sunlight (British Isles) in order to increase Vitamin D production (why this affects men more than women, I'm not sure; maybe it involves male bone mass). The forehead and crown get the most sun exposure.

You never addressed the important part of my initial comment, which effectively slaughters your theory.

Not if the restricted bloodflow causes the greater male DHT to do its thing.

This would make sense if men with forward grown skulls rarely balded.

That women don't go bald? I already said that DHT causes hairloss after blood flow is reduced because it makes the cell require more nutrients.

I misread your reply. I thought you were arguing that DHT wasn't a major component. Your original comment is not correct though. Androgenic activity is the primary cause of balding, not skull shape.

Then how does vitamin D play into it? High levels of vitamin D increase androgens while low levels of vitamin D decreases androgens, the opposite of what is expected if low vitamin D caused hairloss. I think skull shape is a much clearer and better way to explain why male pattern baldness starts at the crown and temples, and why it is a modern illness.

You also have no explanation for why DHT causes hair to become thinner before production is stopped. You just say DHT causes hairloss. My explanation explains it succinctly.

DHT = hair growth hormone
High DHT = hair grows faster, more nutrients are needed
Improper skull shape = poor bloodflow
Poor bloodflow = less nutrients to hair
Hair needs to grow more but has less nutrients = thinner hair, eventually no hair

You are against the bloodflow hypothesis, so you have no explanation for why the DHT causes the hair to stop working besides just because. It can't be because the hair doesn't get enough nutrients regardless of bloodflow because then you would lose hair everywhere and not just the top of your head.

DHT is only a hair growth hormone below the scalp. It causes miniaturization on the scalp (as do other androgens, just due to a potentially lesser extent).

@MarkCorrigan do u have an overbite?

I see no reason to believe this. We're just going to have to agree to disagree.

Give women a high dose of androstanolone and see for yourself...

There's no reason to believe the woman's hair becomes thinner not because of less nutrients but just because it's an effect of DHT.

So if I'm recessed and get a bimax will it make a.difference to my hair

Androgens are doing most of the work on your hair. I'm a broken record in this thread by now.

Is the mechanism how malocclussion known?

how are so many people suddenly taking this as gospel on this site when he has ZERO proof.
but yes please stick an egg on your rapidly thinning hairline and see where that gets you LMFAO the state of this site

I believe it's genetics.

Michael Mew is a bald cuck despite excellent jaw development while his father is recessed into oblivion and deformed but has a full head of hair.

Perhaps it could have some effect if you already have strong genetic tendency towards balding but I don't believe it's the decisive factor.

When it comes to lower third and jaws his craniofacial decelopment is at the top tier among modern humans. His father made him follow all the orthotropic premises when he was a child and teenager.

It's just his normie genetics.

People with square heads are of a certain ethnicity maybe, and certain ethnicities bald less (even if they are very hairy) like Chechens.. Or they have proper prenatal Testosterone exposure and that somehow plays a part in it.

Hell yea calling people retards & being ignorant af. You guys who say just take finasteride are close minded af & have probably already accepted having a small dick. This theory actually makes a lot of sense. Now let me explain how it actually works.

Ive been in contact with the guy who created/discovered the theory within the whole last year. His name is Brian Dye. We call each other every week almost with new info on it.

The way the theory works; yes because of malocclusion.. BUT you can have class 2 & class 3 & not go bald. It is MORE common to go bald if you have occlusion. The reason is because of the temporal artery. So you cant just get braces & think oh im fixed. Your jaw is out of alignment.. but your teeth are straight. Even deeper than that is your jaw can be in proper alignment but the MAIN CAUSE based on this theory is the condyle is pressing against the temporal artery. If the condyle is pressing against the temporal artery it is going to cause lack of blood flow, which causes hypoxia/production of more dht + nutrient deficient skin unable to handle the dht then balding.

THE FIX: so the fix is obviously what we all want right? Brian & I go back and forth on this because I dont 100% agree with him although he could be right. He says the fix is agga. The reason being is because it moves the condyle forward & off of the temporal artery. Then you can use minoxidil for 1 year & all your hair will grow back and you can stop using it. The minoxidil is basically waking up the “dead veins” / hair. But we all know agga can ruin your 6 front teeth/bone.

So this is where im hung up because he is just a passionate dude about giving something back to people, not trying to sell anything & wants to retire soon & is sick of working. But he said before he retires he wants to like I said give back for all his years of work. The theory makes sense but agga is scary af & ive never seen anyone actually complete the whole process of it.

I have also been on a call with Ron from JawHacks who has done agga himself & he said that it is not worth it but it does make sense. I asked him if double jaw surgery would help put the condyle in the correct position & he said that it would but im unsure of that..? I also heard Ron was using agga by himself & not under supervision of a medical professional so I just dont know.. the theory fucking makes sense tho.

Ive looked at thousands of guys with recessed jawlines & most of them bald.. not a coincidence?? Also a lot of guys with class 3 do coincidentally have some thick fuckin hair.

Im just trying to be as open minded as I can & avoid fin as much as possible. Lmk what you guys think.
