Indeed, to see your friends that you grew up with over the years mature and get girlfriends, jobs, and lives of their own while you remain lonely and single makes you feel both happy for them, but at the same time sad and angry at yourself. You feel like you're missing something in life, that something's wrong with you because you can't get a GF, especially if you physically mog your friends.
