When they agree to play for the Pro Football league they are agreeing to work on Sundays and that is a grave sin. Sunday is the Lord's Sabbath day and it is strictly meant for rest. It is a life or death situation cause it was commanded that those who did work on Sundays would be put to death. But I do see some that claim to be Christian in the NFL, so I think Jesus will forgive their sin.

Right but at what cost though? Selling your soul for a couple million dollars. You can't play the game of football in honor of God because football goes against everything God promotes. Jesus promotes kindness and gentleness. Whereas in the game of football players are trying to take each others heads off and put each other in the hospital.

it's just funny when I see Football and Faith in the same sentence cause I am sure if Jesus were to return the sport of Football would be demolished during his 1000 year reign.

I tell this because in Matthew 5:19-20 it reads: Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Thus when I go gung ho about the Bible I am doing so in accordance with the point that this scripture is trying to get across. Like, when I get to Heaven I want to be a great one in the everlasting life that actually matters as opposed to this life in this world of sin that is temporary.
