The language is easy af since I already speak French and some Spanish.
Would probably take me a few months of actual lessons to be fluent.

Tbh the only real negative is the lack of safety.
But it's not THAT bad.
Still a problem if you want to raise a family.

I have only been in Rio for now and I landed in the South just today.
From what I've seen I probably wouldn't want to live in the North yeah.

Rio is known for being one of the top places in the world for foreigners to have a good vacation, not to live in.
