It is harmless and it lasts 30 to 90 minutes. This phenomenon is called Niacin Flush. To prevent it do the following:
  1. Take it with food. Taking the supplement with a snack, especially an apple, can help.
  2. Avoid spicy foods, hot drinks, and hot showers. ...
  3. Build up your dose gradually. ...
  4. Try a different formula. ...
  5. Take an aspirin.
