Using your Nicotine Addiction to Rewire your brain.
I've had a crippling nicotine addiction since I was 14, mostly through Vaping until 2 years ago, and have tried to beat it multiple times. Once I was 16 I made the switch to only doing snus (Zyns, Velos, Pablo's, etc.) and would constantly need multiple throughout the day.

Like most people I've always fucking hated studying and anything to do with school, never had good grades and ultimately did the bare minimum because honestly who wants to willingly do that shit. I finally realized how much I was cooking myself for the path I wanted to do after school given the fact my grades weren't the best so I needed to lock in.

I then thought to myself why don't I change my feelings about studying by connecting it to something my brain is already accustomed to.

My Scheme

I decided to restrict myself to nicotine use only while I was studying, doing homework, or during classwork in school. The idea wasn't that nicotine just magically makes you smarter, I wanted to see whether pairing it with an existing habit would make it easier for me to be productive.

The first week went so well, I was completing assignments A LOT earlier than usual and spending significantly more time studying. For the first time, I found myself getting work done instead of constantly putting it off.

I was doing so much studying, homework, and classwork that I would finish it and have no more stuff I could do to feed my nicotine addiction the next day. I eventually started applying this to SAT prep, college essays, etc.

My teachers even noticed the difference. They were astounded by this absolute switch in my performance at school and applauded me.

What I Learned

The biggest thing I took away from this was how if you can’t beat an addiction to something use it to love something you fucking hate. So use this knowledge as you will.
