So I understand that nicotine is a nootropic and that it’s good for you in a sense, but the actual act of smoking is bad for you and I was thinking about taking nicotine gum just for the nootropic effects and I was wondering if it’s good and what does it fully do I was specifically planning on taking Nicorette 4mg coated mint nicotine gum from Walmart

Nicotine does boost focus and alertness a bit, yeah, but calling it “good for you” is kinda cope. Smoking is bad because of all the extra chemicals, but nicotine itself is still addictive and messes with your heart rate and blood pressure.

Nicorette gum is way safer than smoking, but it’s meant for quitting, not as a brain hack. If you use 4 mg just for focus, you’ll build tolerance fast and then you’re basically locked into needing it to feel normal. That’s the tradeoff.

Short term it can make you feel sharper, long term it’s not really worth it unless you’re already quitting nicotine. Sleep, food, caffeine, and just being consistent unironically do more without the downside.

So in your opinion, what is the best way to administer nicotine without main side effects or what is the best nootropic that mimics nicotine?

You can try nicotine gum or lozenges for safer use than smoking, but it will never be safe for you; if you want similar focus without the risk, stuff like caffeine, caffeine + L-theanine, or just good sleep and exercise are safer options.
