The nicotine in cigs, and not just by itself, boosts a lot of things
DHT – a potential 20-35% increase when consuming 3+ mg of nicotine, and even 1 mg causes an enzymatic shift in 5α-reductase. This means, in theory, it could better develop/define the facial bone structure (the metabolite is a direct competitor to inhibitors of disposal enzymes like 3a-hydroxysteroid, meaning it accumulates; there are plenty of studies on this).IGF-1 can increase it by up to 15-25%, which enhances chondrocyte proliferation in long bones if the growth plates are still open. Also, due to a short-term GH spike, it can trigger even higher IGF-1 production.
Prolactin – a possible drop followed by stabilization; I don't think I need to explain what this hormone does.
Also, if you set up a protocol to avoid heavy addiction, it can give a pubertal body a pulsating hormonal profile. In theory, this might increase bone size, though it's not a fact it could just be stimulation that makes bones reach their genetic max sooner. Many people know that nicotine constricts blood vessels, but few know that it boosts VEGF by 50-70%, which is also pretty great. I might be wrong, and it could also lead to epiphyseal plate closure, but Idc:owo:
