For those that don't know, the bad conscience is the idea that humans crave cruelty. But because exerting cruelty upon others is illegal we exert it upon ourselves, this comes in various forms such as organised religion's rules restricting things e.g. muslims not being allowed to eat pork.
Recently my comp finished and I had a week period where I had no real fitness goals or anything. I just ate. It felt weird. It felt weird eating without any real purpose, without me counting calories, protein content, macros, etc. I felt lost, then I realised that I enjoy the cruelty and struggle of having to track everything I eat. I have to eat for a goal other than satiety, I'm now on a bulk and want to become strong. I feel a bit better now eating with a goal in mind.
