If you didn't mouth breathe though, there is a good chance you would have revealed your genetic potential though. I can't speak for mewing, but I know for a fact that nose breathing helps. Also, if you are still relatively young, like 16, then there's a chance you can turn it around through proper nose breathing. From my anecdotes, I have experienced a big difference in my zygos, as they are now more prominent than before. I have also noticed improvements in my masseter muscles, which creates a more aesthetic jaw, and allows for a hollow cheek, once lean ofc. I was around 16 when I started nose breathing, after being a mouth breather my whole life, and I'm now 20 years old. Again, nose breathing only reveals your genetic potential, but it's an important factor nothertheless. I believe facial structure doesn't fully develop until around early to mid 20s, and can see quite signicant improvements even as teenager.
