Based on information from Hutteau, BFMTV further reports that when the fire broke out, Dos Santos was on the ground floor of the popular tourist bar “Le Constellation.” He initially managed to escape—but then went back into the building because his girlfriend was still trapped in the inferno. Hutteau said: “Tahirys is not only a victim, but also a hero—you can say that.” His girlfriend is also said to have been injured.
